1. Warm car up to operating temp
2. Turn on headlamps (no accessories)
3. Unplug IAC (if car won't idle, turn stop screw until the car will stay idling)
4. Adjust idle stop screw til desired rpm is reached
5. plug IAC back in
6. Recheck TPS voltage with car off.  TPS should be under 1.00v.  Typically .97-.98/WOT voltage should be 4.60v at TPS

any tips for suspected vacuum problems?  i just now have time to work on it again but fawk i still need to get it idling right before i can go safety/register um.

have u run a vacuum test?  see if u can borrow a vacuum gauge to see what kind of vacuum ur car is pulling at idle.  iirc xavier bought one for around 2-30 bucks at napa or checker.

Or take off the inlet tubing from the maf and plug all the vacuum hoses. Then put the open end of the inlet tube over your mouth and blow real hard until you turn blue. Have someone listen for breath leaks.
This will cause a temporary high and losing some brain cells!












j/k about the whole thing. How is all your lower/upper intake gasket? If it is moist with oil, it's too compressed.

x, i found that link on one of your other posts after i asked... lol.  i'll be running through that checklist friday and hopefully have something going.  thanks!  i can't wait to drive this car again with some confidence in reliability.
