Alright I started installing my Shaker system this afternoon and while drilling and making these holes in the hood I realize the hood is fiberglass and not metal.  I bought some 18tpi jigsaw blades for the job since that's what I found to be what I needed online to cut through a metal hood.  But now that I know it's not metal I was wondering is it alright to use the 18tpi or would I need smaller.  I checked online and it says 8tpi for fiberglass.  Any help is greatly appriciated.   Huh

Just to be safe U should be using the smaller 8tpi for the fiberglass... It will
Help to keep the edge from chipping off large pieces.

I thought the more teeth, then it would be a finer cut, less likely to chip or splinter.

The 18 TPI is better.  For fiberglass, the more teeth the blade has, the quicker the cut, therefore reducing the chance of cracks or splinters.

Actually, if you can find a carbide grit type blade, that would be even better.  No teeth on that, just the grit cutting the fiberglass.

Man I feel retarded.  I got the Hood Appliqué all fit up but when I go to install the dam bolts and thread cutting nuts I am lost, I can't figure out how these dam things go on.  I hate to ask this because it makes me feel stupid (especially because of what I do for a living) but how in the hell do these dam things go on, the nuts no fit the bolts.

The nut and bolt

The Hood Appliqué

How I think it goes, correct me if I am wrong
1. Tighten nut up on Hood Appliqué

2. Tighten bolt up

 Huh
