You have to remove the Steering column on the driver side and the starter on the passenger side. Once you get that done you have to disconnect the engine mounts and lift the engine a bit. I did my LT's and it was a pain. If you can pay for it to be done I highly recommend it.

hmmmm no video of that dynomax kit you put on your dads car? can't find the thread you made for it...

my dad's GT has a SRS 3" catback.  not too loud, deep and smooth sounding.  i'll add it in.

SRS
this company makes mostly import exhausts for subarus and nissans.  but it was cheap, it is all 304 SS, straight thru 3" catback.  not too loud, deep and smooth sounding.  i think would sound pretty good with LT's and o/r x pipe.

stock manifolds, stock midpipe, SRS 3" catback

the funny thing about the guy with the flows and dumps is he does all this expensive engine work, he can afford to change his exhaust more than me, but he goes cheap on the headers with the ebay boost brother's headers that are made in china and cost less than 200 for the LT's and midpipe.  then you gotta bang it with a hammer to make it fit.  he knew all this bofore buying and still bought them.

i was wrong about the boost brothers headers.  MustangLouie, who has the above exhaust combo, put in the LT's with some prothane motormounts and they fit well, so no banging with the hammer.  seems they fixed the fitment problems that they had before.

it is a great sounding exhaust!

an alternative to boomtubes is the Pype Bomb.  just the name alone makes me want to buy it!
it is a muffler delete made by pypes with baffles inside much like Mac Boomtubes, and they retail around $200.

stock manifolds, stock midpip, Pype bombs axle back
