No doubt it is great off road....but it sucks on anything close to paved....and is slow as hell...and costs $50k before dealer markup...lol

that is a valid point from a theoretical perspective, but, most raptors and especially the ones I've seen on Oahu, will live 99% of their life on paved roads...I think those owners will be a little disappointed in the camry-esque 0-60 times.  Just my $.02 on a very expensive vehicle.  Yeah, if you live near Baja and take it there, great!  If not, not...
I agree it is a pricey vehicle and will mostly be driven on the street.  Most people who buy and drive Raptors will probably not buy a Lightning, Dodge v10 or other speedy truck.  I don't think that person is looking for 0-60 performance.  I do think it looks pretty good and performs off road.  This is its intent.  Would I buy one?  Not sure.  I wouldn't mind a truck, but not for $40k plus.  I wouldn't pay that for a nice diesel truck either.

Yeah, I hear you, but I think those owners will care about 0-60 performance when they get smoked by a camry at a stoplight...

It sure would suck to pay $50 k for a truck w/ svt on the back. And get smoked by a camry.  0-60, 1/4 mile, any way.  If you take it off road, cool....if not....pretty funny.  The raptor is a sloooow vehicle, regardless of price or size.  If svt wanted to go in this direction they could of bought the hummer brand....lol

I just thought it was funny that you relate everything to speed even if that is not the intended purpose. Maybe everyone should own only Camrys or Terminators.

John Coletti would put a pallet of dog food in that truck...but hey I admit it looks good off road, and parked....

Ps, I sold my termi, but yeah, it was pretty good esp for the msrp $35 k and $18 k 7 yrs and 24 k miles later....we'll see how the raptors values hold up, my guess is not well

Who knows about the value.  I think the new mustangs are a pretty good value for the performance, don't need 92 octane, n/a engine, etc.  Holding value; we will see.

Raptor updated for 2012. Less jumping around after a bunch of idiots bent frames going "blind" on high speed off-road runs this year.

I'll be honest.  I friggin love the raptor.  Had it in the air and mud with 400 miles on the odometer.

Drives great on the street.

Towed like a dream all the way to Florida from Ohio.

Ran down the dragstrip smooth as pie!

congrats on the '11 time - that is incredible!

I'm sure you already saw the episode, but the Velociraptor was pretty impressive on the US Top Gear last year -

http://www.hennesseyperformanceblog.com/tag/velociraptor/

kind of reminds me of the hard to find Joe Gibbs Edition supercharged H2 Hummer - there is one for sale that is kind of tempting...
