how much are you into the boat? purchase price plus mods?

purchase price + mods = about 36k maybe more, not counting tint/alarm and all the little stuff.
i originally was looking for a used new edge for months before buying the s197, but wtf, you can't take it with you, so i'm gonna make it rain!!!

or it could build a damn nice classic.  down payment for a house.  Saw a beautiful 64 comet vert for less than half that.  Not sure what your point is.  Plus the fact that foxes are almost as bad as camaros.  damn mullet machines.

I posted this poll on 2 other forums on their fox body section and s197 section and the voting went about the same as here about 2 to 1 for the fox, even the s197 guys voted for the fox.  heres how it breaks down:

HPM has a pretty accurate population, comparing it to the concensus of overall votes.
a generalization i can make from all the comments here and the other forums are that the fox has a classic sound, almost everyone either says that or agrees to it, and it is hard to beat that legendary classic status.  the s197 is still relatively new, and its like food, you like the place that you are used to eating at.  and the fox is what everyone associates with the mustang sound.  the most surprising results were from the s197 guys, they voted for the fox.  and their comments were like they had fox body envy or something, almost all of them wish their s197 sounded like a fox, which puzzles me bc it can never sound like one.  of course there were a few that love the s197 sound, and i'm guessing that these guys are younger, or they just like the different sound.  some of the fox body guys were rather insulting of the s197 sound, one guy said it sounded like "a wet fart running down his leg."  which was pretty funny, but thats my mustang you talkin bout, fool!  and i'll deal with him later today.  but some of these fox body guys on the other forums were telling me my video sucked and said shoot it this way.  hey jerky boys, thats the video i got and if you dont like it, feel the wet fart down your leg!  ok, enough ranting.  and noticed 1 more thing, the HPM forum is much more relaxed, more like family and friends.....even if you do like the fox better. Grin
