Doing a 306 331 street build a la PM&E. I'll post specifics once the parts are ordered.

Mike asked me to post up pics of the parts/process as we build his daily driver 331. List of parts on order include:

Probe 4340 331 rotating assy with H-beams and lightweight forged pistons
Twisted Wedge 170cc runner heads
Street Burner intake
Main girdle
ARPs throughout
etc, etc...

Stay tuned for more pics as parts start rolling in!

Could that increased displacement get away with higher flowing heads and intake manifold without affecting the street manners?

We're working around the E cam he already has.  Also looking to make more torque than top end pull.  This phase of the build is basically preparing the motor to endure phase 2 which comes later Wink

Internals have been delivered. Scraping some cash together for the build and top end.

hmm, don't see anything...
still hope the e-cam works out. "Project X" thread has a clip of "E"-cammed 331.

Stopped by PM&E today. Bottom end squared away. Saving up for top end and related upgrades. Hopefully pics coming soon. E303 being reconsidered atm.

Top end has yet to be finalized.  We're married to the Twisted Wedge heads due to valve reliefs on the pistons, though.  Leaning towards the 170cc heads for better velocity and low end.  Remember: the TW "170cc" measurement on the runner is misleading because the TW runner is slightly shorter than an inline head runner (due to the valve angle relocation).  The cross-sectional measurement of the TW runner compares more towards a 180cc inline head.  Once the heads are in-hand I'll look them over to see if there are any small details we can touch up to gain flow w/o adding to port volume Smiley

Pics to come as the build progesses!
