So im having a problem with the bass in my car. A while back it would just randomly go out, but it would always come back spontaneously. Last week it went out for good. I changed out a fuse under the hood and two fuses under the dash.....nothing. Can anybody help me out?
Btw there would also be this humming sound coming out of the speakers, again, it was all at random times

Could be just about anything, deck, amp, or sub. To me it sounds more like the sub amp going bad or the sub its self. Being that its a 2000 that's a long timefor any speaker to hold up, much more the sub.....

I wonder if the '00 set-up is the same as the '02 mach set-up. In my '02's they had one amp run the door speakers, and the other amp ran the rear deck speakers. The front and rear high's were ran by the deck. I ended up ditching the mach stuff and running an aftermarket deck and a bass tube in the trunk.

Yeah my concern with getting another set of amps would be buying amps that are just as old as mine were.
How much did it cost you to ditch the Mach and replace it with a new system?

I replaced the door and rear deck speakers with some Alpine 6X8" 3-way speakers. I installed an Alpine deck and had it run the 6X8's. Then installed a Bazooka Bass tube in the trunk and had a 200 watt Rockford amp for that. It sounded good. I don't remember the cost as this was 8 years ago.

If you're still looking for the factory amps, I have 'em sitting in the garage.

Oops, disregard last. I looked for them and couldn't find 'em. I do have the factory speakers and tweeters for the rear box though if you need those.
