hey guys...
looking to get a MAF/Throttle body combo here for the vert. Thinking about getting a CL MAF with a BBK Throttle Body (70mm). MAF calibrated to stock injectors.
Was wondering if anyone had good experiences with other brands? Also...do I need a EGR spacer also? I running stock upper intake but will port to match the TB..
any suggestions??
thanks guys!!!

Waste of time & money.I would save for a better intake or heads.but that's just my opinion.I've had a few mostly stock cars lose lowend acceleration with 70-75mm tb's.

Just like Jake said I would save up for heads and intake before you start changing the throttlebody.

my TB and MAF swap was noticeable gains to me, but my stock TB was a mess...so it may have just helped being a new clean setup...first ive heard someone saying do intake before TB. also i swapped from a stock MAF to a large one.

Just think if it as a funnel, the smallest part is still the intake. Try and look for a V8 explorer intake. It will have better breathing capacity than the stock intake.

I have a ported and polished cobra intake and its awesome. Dunno about just the throttlebody/egr though, I put them all on at the same time.

lol!!! thanks guys. Is it best to match the two as far as openings? I noticed the CL MAF I wanted to get was 73MM and the BBK TB was 70MM..is that okay? I don't know if the difference is minimal or not...

The stock setup for the Cobra intake was the original 65mm. I am using the Ford Racing Cobra Replica with the exact same thing as yours Sean. If you want to save on the labor, do the heads cam and intake at the same time since the upper half of the engine will be apart anyway.
When I started messing with mine years ago, I did the intake, TB, MAF together first. But that was just me. Later saved up for the heads and cam. Plan for what you want the end result to be, then accumulate the parts and do it once. If I had to do it over, that's what I would have done.
