So yesterday I starteed up the 67 and pulled out of my parking spot while doing so my radio just went off no power there at all.  When i tried my turn signals those dont work either nor do the emergency flashers.  all other electronics are working fine also the flasher indicators dont light up on the dash.  any suggestions?  I think it may be a fuse but not too sure

they shouldnt share the same fuse, unless there is an aftermarket deck and whoever wired it in piggy backed off the turn signals

electronics are never cheap to troubleshoot since most places are 100 bucks an hour....I would venture to guess those wires are next or by each-other and they got rubbed through or are touching each-other and shorting out.

hey sixerfornow, could be a bunch of things one thats common on those models it the turn switch the one thats attached to the steering column...it could of been its time to go...
i know the older models for some reason the brakes and all the turn signals like that run through the hazard switch...
and it could be jus a simple thing like a relay...
those were jus some probs we had with my pops 65 those fixed it for us....
hope that narrows things down...

check chassis ground as well as wires to relay by battery and to ignition switch.  Also, possible ignition switch failure (see if any power to dash lights and to radio in acc possition but car ignition start okay).  Ignition switch not too hard to replace, available only by Mustang parts catalog.

 Cool

its a wierd kind of short.  When i replaced the fuse that blew (radio fuse) blinkers worked and radio worked in the ON and ACC position.  The still worked when the car was started as well but as soon as the car begins moving the fuse blows again.

Ya I know thinking it may be a bad ground not sure might just have to take it to a stereo guy and have em look at it hopefully not though it seems that the fuse that manages power to the radio also manages the actual switch for the turn signals so thats why its goin out theres now problem with the flashers or relays just no power to the switch for em
