The panel that the headlight switch is is on is just cliped in. You can pop that panel and just tap into the switch

Use a volt-meter. Ground you neg end and tap the pins till you see power. Or you can wait till I get a chance thiss weekend to look at mine. Another option would be to tap off the dome light...

I have the wiring diagram for a 2007. if you still need the wire colors and stuff let me know. You have to tap in after the smart junction box as it controls most of the lighting.

Ok, the connector you want is C2280D(grey 52 pin connector) located on the back side of the SBJ (the SBJ as stated above is located behind the passenger side kick panel).
You can tap the power wire of the ambient lighting kit to any of the following wires: pin 15(red/pink), pin 16(white/red), pin 17(brown), pin 24(tan/red), pin 29(dark green), pin 30(dark blue/yellow), pin 31(black/pink), pin 32(tan/red), pin 37(dark green/light green), and pin 38(dark blue/yellow)
This will turn the ambient lighting on when you turn the parking lights or head lights on. You might want to run a switch inline with the power wire or the ground wire so you can turn the ambient lighting off and still have the park/head lighs on.
Where did you get the kit from?
Hope this helps.
