Hey Matt, sorry for the bad news yesterday.  I always hate calling people with downer info Sad  I was somewhat surprised the guides were loose given the excellent over-all condition of the heads.  This is where it pays to be diligent and check everything with no assumptions based on appearance.

Like you said, though... we caught it and can address it so the motor is built right.

All things considered it could have been a lot more expensive. Nothing igs cheap when it comes to the four valves.

Timing is installed.  She's ready to rock n roll!

You're putting on the covers and oil pan, right?  (don't have that on my work order)

Shootz!  It'll be in good hands.  This thing would have been done weeks ago if it wasn't for that damn timing set on backorder.    Sad

BTW, the description says for aluminum block applications but hell if I could find a difference.  Everything fit perfectly

Actaully there was 1 difference.  The main guide shoe dowels on the aluminum blocks are threaded in.  On the iron blocks they look to be pressed in.  The kit came with new screw-in guide shoe dowels for the aluminum block that I didn't use.  Other than that everything was the same. Smiley
