In my opinion, a true "Rumble" would be something that's felt, not heard. Maybe the requirement to be a judge should be legally deaf and just stand next to the car. At that point it may be the car with the biggest cam idling that wins.  |

what sounds loud to the human ear, and what is actually loud on the db meter might surprise you.
there are tones, resonance, frequencies, etc. that make something seem louder than something else, but it may not quantify itself on a db meter.
one of the loudest exhausts on the db meter was the 99 cobra that blew over the chair.
all the other loudest exhausts were within a couple decibels of each other.
the way i took these readings are not the most scientific methods, but its better than saying "that one is louder bc i think it is."
i should've taken all of them with equal distance from the tailpipe, but i couldn't do that with the crowd.
but db readings were not considered in the judging. this was only for my curiosity.
