It sounded like some thing broke on my last pass at the track so I put it up on jackstands yesterday. I did not find any damage but did get a couple nice surprises. All the tork boxes are welded as well as the axle tubes. Kinda nice to check those off the list. Also swaped out the slicks for street tires. I need to get another set of dedicated slick rims.

It was a loud clunck/pop, sounded like it came from the rear of the car. It still drives fine but I will look at it better before it goes back to the track. Also plan on changing out the springs and control arms and adding FLSC's so if there is an issue I'll find it.

I hope you have a driveshaft loop when you're running slicks or you might not pass the tech inspection.

Good reminder.. need to put mine in before I put the car back together.

Fixed a couple little things yesterday. Last track day my door lock broke and locked me out of the car on the trailer and it was a PITA. Had to pull the passenger side fender of the trailer to get in. Also changed out the power window switch and lubed up the rails so it works much better. Changed out the slicks for street tires so I can drive it on the road after i my antique plates the 1st. They are $50 but no more state inspections which is much cheaper than installing cats. Ordering Eibach drag launch springs and sub frame connectors soon, we have a track rental in the spring so I need to get it ready. Also gonna try and talk the wife into new rims so I don't have to keep swaping tires.

Took it for a spin today and almost totaled it. Was pulling out into traffic and a lady in a van decided to change lanes in an intersection while on her cell phone. I nailed to gas to get out of her way and layed it completly sideways. Got off the gas and got it straight and came home and changed my drawers. I need some stickier tires for the street fo sho. Looking at some Nitto nt05r's.

Yeah, got antique plates so no more state inspections or renewals. $400 to have cats installed or $50 for anitque plates = easy decision. Now if the docs could fix me I could go for a legal ride, LOL
