Theres a kona acoustic for sale at a local pawn shop here in Missouri for $125...is that on par with what it should cost? Does kona even make good acoustics?

Don't really know, never played one and don't know if there are any dealers. I've only seen the brand on Ebay but if you check one out....basic rule of thumb for any acoustic is can you comfortably play a full bar chord on any fret without it buzzing.

Changing strings on 12 string guitars sucks.  Gotta get used to the uke again instead.

Dark I know this way late response about the question about kona acoustic and depending on the brand and model it might have been a great deal. When kona is used as the wood they normally charge 2-300 more for it because it's so rare and only grows one of the islands out here.
