Dark I know this way late response about the question about kona acoustic and depending on the brand and model it might have been a great deal. When kona is used as the wood they normally charge 2-300 more for it because it's so rare and only grows one of the islands out here.

he's referring to the brand "kona acoustics". Your referring to the wood "koa" which does only grow here on all the main islands of hawaii

Changing strings on 12 string guitars sucks.  Gotta get used to the uke again instead.

You're not a man until you play a 12-string bass.  Talk about working the left hand.
But a massive sound, more for rock type stuff (Pearl Jam, Cheap Trick, Kings X).
Truss rods do double duty to keep the neck from bowing. 

That Taylor sure is nice.  After hearing Poppa's 12 string, I have to say they really
sound good.  A great alternative to a Martin at a good price.

 :-\just got another bass..............5 string fretless dean............having fun with it.........gotta be very precise with the fingering!
total of 4 axes for me
jazz 4 string
kala ubass 4 string sunburst
dean 5 string fret an fretless
