make sure you rivet the plate on your bumper. thats the rule now with them (some safety shops check...some dont). i have a rivet gun if you need help

also helps keep your plate from getting stolen

you can keep the texas plates untill they expire. if theres a way you can maintain the TX registration from here...it might be ok. i couldnt do Colorado plates since they require a yearly emission test. and doesnt TX do some sort of yearly safety check?

hawaii registration for military is only $20, i see no reason to not get hawaii plates. even if you have TX plates you still have to get a safety inspection.

Get a CSL-50 (Hawaii Non-Resident) form from your military personnel office, think it's up to $28 or something.  Now that I'm retired I have to pay by the pound like the rest of you - $300+  ...another reason to make these new Mustangs lighter, lol.

P.S. someone please PM me where to go next year for my safety check, I had to pull off my read window scoops and 3rd brake light "Knight Rider" sticker to get my safety check this year (Navy Auto Hobby shop), it was indeed a sad day.

Just don't forget to register out of state plates here within 30 days and get that vehicle inspection. It can be towed on the spot without a safety inspection on public roads.
