Well i was looking at these:
http://www.stangmods.com/Mustang-Projector-Headlamps-p/00412.htm?CartID=1
Then adding these:
http://www.stangmods.com/2005-Mustang-Bi-Xenon-HID-Conversion-Kit-p/00909.htm
Can this work?
that will work. a bit pricey, but should work. My HIDs are ebay brand, and they work just fine. theyve been working for over 2 years now without a problem, and was nearly a tenth of the cost of those stangmods kits. and what bulb K are you getting? please nothing over 8.

8k would be the reasonable max. 4300 is the best to maximize illumination. anything over 4300 can appear blue, and you will be at risk for a blue light ticket. look on ebay first, they are very cheap and i would not be surprised if the ebay companies have the same stock as the reputable companies, just likely to be re-labeled and less of a guarantee. but like i said, mines been working for years with very minimal problems.
as far as the housing units, i think the prices are about the same wherever you look. just remember to seal them very well before installing as they are known to have condensation.

The Kelvin rating in HID systems is often misunderstood. I run 12k headlights @55w. They are superwhite/slightly ice blue. However, most HID kits are 35w and in 35w systems, 12k would be retarded blue. The more wattage, the more light intensity pushing through the color. Think of it as a colored transparent film over a dim light source...vivid color, right? But same film over a. 2,000,000cp light source would not yield such vivid color due to the light intensity. 8-12k in 55w is fine IMWO....in 35w?....no.

knowledge is knowing that tomatoes are fruit. wisdom is knowing not to put them in a fruit salad. yes, there are such things as LED headlights; yes, there are 55w HID kits. no, he was not referring to LED lights, and no, he was not referring to 55w HID systems. please remove the tomatoes from your fruit salads.

Or,
"thank you once again for that terrific bit of trivia. 35W in HIDs is the mainstream,as was also linked in his HID proposal above."
What, this ^ didn't sound sarcastic enough so you decided to delete it and talk about salads instead? I was just trying to share knowledge.

Darktrak, i dont know who you are, or what your chip is, but you certainly have the need to make as much waves as you possibly can. i find that to be okay if you just want to be a member of this club looking for an audience to ooh and ahh at your comments; however, you are an officer of this club and should really act accordingly,
especially
as an interclub representative. disparaging the members of this club is not ideal; nor is it wise to do against the same group of people that you officers are trying to appeal back into club participation. you are new here, so i will chalk this up to poor assimilation to our club standards. you call yourself the "reformed ignoramus", but i only see that as half true. if you have any extra comments, PM me and spare the respect of people who also read this thread.

some HID knowledge i came across while looking into doing a HID retrofit years ago. read it, learn it. and if you're going to attempt it, do it right. don't know much about LED since I know of only one car manufacturer that has all-LED exterior lighting as standard on one of their models (M-B).
