[Hawaii Kai cruise night]

  The cruise nights are finally getting into full swing! One of The largest events is the Hawaii Kai cruise nights. Feb 25th is the first of the year in HK! Last 2 events had almost 400 cars in attendance at each event!!! We will meet up at NEX Pearl Harbor at 5pm (for those not already in HK) and cruise to the HK boat ramp and meet up with anyone else and then cruise in to the HK Costco parking lot.
 Let's make the First big event a Great one!

change of plans, my family thing is postponed, so I'm in!


see you guys at NEX at 5.  we'll try leave at 5:15 bc i dont want to be late to hi kai.
regroup at hi kai boat ramp around 5:45, and head to the back of the towne center by 6:00.
i would change the meet up time to earlier, but its last minute already so we'll leave it as planned.

i wont be in on this cruise.  family stuff going on.

but dont let anybody cut in line when you're going from the back to the front.
might want to also talk to the east side hot rods about how many Mustangs we have and if they can accomodate us all together.
while you're waiting in the back, you can speak to the East Side guys.
but dont let anybody cut in front of you.  thats why we stage in the back, so we can proceed in an orderly fasion.
last time was a mad scramble and people cut in line.
i mean, dont be rude, but be firm.  but at the same time try not to piss people off.

make sure you guys have enough time too.
IIRC, they start the parking at around 6:00

I think the problem of the one I went to was that we all got in as a group ok, but when we got into the parking lot the guys waved us into separate rows. Paul went down one, then they flagged Buzzy down another row then the rest of us ended up at the end. I think there should be some sort of signal to wave at them so they understand we are all together.

I would go down to where they are parking cars before they start parking cars
and talk to them about having one area for all of us
that way they'll be prepared.
but when the shit hits the fan, its going to be a free for all.
it may or may not go like we want it to.
out of all the times we went, we only got 2 times where we all parked together.
seems simple, but its not.  its just the nature of this Hawaii Kai shopping center.

Maybe we need to get HPM door flags to put out each window so the cars will be directed to assemble together.  Or if talking with the Cruise Group will allow a HPM member to volunteer to assist when the cars come in.

Hey Folks,
  I am on the mainland and will miss this one(first one since joining the club) going to need someone to step up and lead you all out!! I think Gavin will also be missing this one so we need someone to go over and talk with the guys running the event to allow all the Mustangs in at the same time! If you want to lead and speak with the organizers give me a pm and I will give you my number and we can talk about what we need especially since AMSCH will be joining us! Mahalos

I am working on getting some AMSCH cars to cruise in with HPM.  Some don't want to assemble that early and wait around, but will work on it.  Good news: Keahole Street(which runs in front of the Center) is repaved.  Bad news:  traffic sensors not yet replaced and lights re-timed so getting out of the shopping centers takes a long time.
