my shocks are going bad and i need new ones. i dont know if the previous owner put aftermarket shocks on or the still have the stock ones on. but my question is, if my car has been lowered and it happens to have aftermarket shocks can i put stock replacement shocks?

with a lowered car, good aftermarket shocks would be preferrable.
with the lowered height, the stock shocks will wear out sooner.

If you can afford it, adjustable shocks is the way to go!

would i have to buy new front and rear shocks? and about how long would they last? i just need a few months to save up before i buy some after market ones

Also wouldn't recommend stock shocks for a lowered vehicle. Save the money and get a good set of quality aftermarket shocks/struts.
