depends on what kind of look you are going for.  IMO on a 69 fastback, i would do a basecoat/clearcoat to match the outside of the car.  spraycans are expensive in the long run. 

if your looking for a compressor, the NEX has 25 gallon craftsman compressors for pretty cheap

The one we were looking at is 5.5 hp peak, 2hp runnig, 25 gallon, 150psi for 299 at the NEX.  Should be good enough?

maybe 25-30' of air hose. maybe since your getting the compressor, an air ratchet/impact gun set with all the different fittings would be good. maybe some extra male and female couplings.
