Went to the SCCA test and tune today.  $40 to run all day 8 to 4.  Everyone has to work 1 one hour shift on the course as a corner worker.  It was a freaking blast.  I learned more about driving today than I have since I got my license.  Honestly this was waaaay more fun than drag racing and I love drag racing.  Its much more involving when you have to turn, brake, and throttle around the corners.

Seriously, you guys HAVE to give this a try.

You gotta go Reid.  The Cobra should be pretty kick ass with the irs.  Plus I was the only Mustang out there.  There was a guy in a camaro but that was it for domestics (he was f*@#ing fast though).  The course was pretty challenging but mostly first gear.  By the end of the day I was going fast enough to hit the limiter but I think most v8s do the course in first gear.  There were quite a few AWD and FWD cars that were faster than me but I think RWD is the most fun; especially with rear kicked way out of line (slower but fun as hell).

nate, a guy at my work by the name of gary kitagawa does those scca events.  i have a couple more suspension parts to put on before i start making it to those events, solid axle sucks during turns..  i've seen that black camaro and he drives pretty damn fast.  a lot of guys on PCH do scca.

Keith,

You gotta go and represent.  I was the only Mustang and I suck.  Live axle may not be ideal but John with the black camaro was right near the top of the timesheet.  Slow or not its fun as hell.

My best time I think was 37.2 (started in the 45s Embarrassed).  My friend with a stock s2000 did 34.5.  I think the camaro was somewhere in the 32s and was flat out awesome to watch.

yeah, i'll make it out there just need the torque arm and pan hard bar to locate that rear end to keep it from dancing back there.  i should just try it anyways to see what it does.

i've seen a couple vids on PCH and his car was on there and he just hauls ass through the cones.
