To this.......

My impression is pretty much the same.  Very happy.  Pretty well equipped for a base model GT.

Coyote power is like the Fox with a blower.  The suspension and handling is worlds different in upgrade.  Also, enjoy the extra gear, auto or stick.

With over 400 HP in the GT, you have almost double the HP of the old Fox 5.0.  Enjoy the ride.  Next get the Boss 302 intake and tune or a nice hairdryer on top of the intake and feel the fun.   8)

Mod the Coyote, sell the 91.  Someone wants a Fox project.  The Coyote gives way better mileage, HP and handling.  Put in some mods and you will have an unreal daily driver, weekend super cruiser!  Over 20 years of Ford engineering are evident when you drive the two, right?

indeed, but you just cant buy the nostalgia of a foxbody.  im going to hold on to her for as long as i can, i would ultimately like to pass it on the offspring...only time will tell

What's amazing is how far along our Pony car gas come.  Back in the days of Mustang II, hp was barely over 100.  When the V-8 came back in 1975, not much better. Today 420 flywheel hp and 390 torque. What would you have to spend to get that in an import, Asian or European?

Yeah my fox had nostalgia, but for me I got hooked.  I've driven and owned examples from each generation from 1991 on, and IMO it blows away the 1997 Cobra and 2003 Mach I previously owned.  Big differences between a 2008 and the 2014.  I had the fox and enjoyed all the years of owning it, so what I tried to get in the 2014 was an updated experience of that, and the 2014 GT is just that.  I'm sure there will be mods and upgrades along the way, just as with my fox.  Maybe I'm old school, but I like the retro look.  It remains to be seen how well this new world car concept will evolve in the 2015 and newer models.  Fuel economy is of a major concern, but really gas prices are relative, at least in this country. Abroad it's a different story.  Yeah you have Ecoboost, but if you're constantly mashing the throttle, the mileage gap narrows considerably.  Europeans want small and cheap, of which the 2015 is neither.  You can only hope for Mustang to do well as a US export.  That was never its premise from the beginning.  It's a US icon, plain and simple.
