AMSCH Hawaiian Railway Society Tour and Train Ride

HPM members are invited to join the Aloha Mustang & Shelby Club members for a day at the Hawaiian Railway in Ewa.  The details:

AMSCH Hawaiian Railway Society Tour and Train Ride
Saturday, September 29, 2018

AMSCH will be gathering at the Hawaiian Railway
Society (HRS), 91-1001 Renton Rd, Ewa on September
29, 2018. In addition to a 90 minute AMSCH train ride
from 12:30-2PM, we have also arranged a tour of the train
yard at 10AM (approximately 30-45 minutes for those
interested) and have the picnic area reserved for our
members from 9-5PM if you want to bring a lunch. While
at the yard you'll also want to spend some time in the new
Toy Train Museum to see the displays and model railroad
layout anytime between 11AM and 3:30PM.
Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12. You
must reserve the number of adult and kid seats for your
party on the AMSCH 12:30PM train by emailing Jeff Sawyer at hobiejeff@juno.com as we have a
maximum of 50 seats for our 12:30-2PM train ride. Your email reservation will be confirmed by
Jeff. Payment will be made to Ed on the day of the event. If we fill all 50 seats on the AMSCH 12:30PM
train any subsequent email requests and/or walk-ons the day of the event will be advised of such,
but informed that there is also a regular HRS 3PM
public train ride to consider independently on their
own instead (those tickets available at the HRS ticket
office that day first come-first serve).
If you've never visited HRS, it's a full scale working
train yard so consider shoes instead of slippers
and parking is on good ol' Ewa dirt and gravel (so
don't bother to wash your car in advance…).
Questions can be emailed to Jeff as well.
Directions and additional information about HRS is
on their website at: http://www.hawaiianrailway.com/

Hey, at least this rail runs, generates revenue, and the chronics haven't tagged it yet.

Wow, it runs on two rails that are a century old and still work, operated by volunteers who keep the engines running and tracks maintained, enjoyed by all who try it and no tax payer funds.  Maybe the City should have talked to them.  Oops, forgot, with all the volunteers and donations, what would companies and unions  do for kala to put into campaign PACs?

Ok, that comment says it all....nah they're just happy using Jedi mind tricks and wallet raiding to get you into mass transit and out of your car.  Then they add insult to injury by giving the Tesla hipsters economic benefits for being "green".

The only thing green I'm into has four wheels and a V8 to irritate hippies.....and Tesla deaf mutes.

Yeah, don't bother the advocates with the facts.  Ignorance is bliss here.
