Put one of those green logos on it.  It cost you a lot of the green stuff and continues to do so.

Hey, black Bullitt going for 70k at Cutter....got a "clearance" banner on it too.....but it's not green.  Actually I'd rather have a white GT PP1 401a with the showstopper red interior....but I guess I'd be called racist for that one.

Hey pocho, you drove the GT with the 10R80, your impressions? I'm a die hard manual driver (not Manuel, Babooze).  My whole adversions to autos is the cost of repair out of warranty....had an AOD years ago in the fox and that one didn't last, hence the conversion to manual.  Hopefully the MT-82 fork issue has been addressed....aftermarket shifter helps out a lot too.  Plus tuning for the 10R80 from what I've read is a little more complex with things like hair dryers being added......but the Roush and Whipples seem to work on manuals, IDK about the auto versions.....give me the good, bad, and the ugly.

Extremely impressed with the how the 10R80 worked on a 2018 GT Mustang in sport mode that was hard pressed for three days on the Sonoma raceway road course and one evning with three drag strip runs. No failures..  I would have figured that an eight spped would haven more than sufficient.  The Pony was also driven in standard mode on the freeway from L.A. to Sonoma and back.  I have no idea on long term reliability.  I am sure that there are issues.  The rental I was in had only about 4,000 miles.
However, I alsways get an extended warranty on my cars, no matter wahat brand, as an engine or trans failure is an expensive situation.  Manuals take more servicing to to replace the clutch, autos seem to die after many more miles, like over 80,000 these deays.

With the 10R80 in so many Fords and Chevys, including trucks and the 650 HP Chevy toys, I expect that there will some better evaluations coming out.  I would consider more of what the heavy trcuks demand and all the torque needed when evaluating the long term of a trans.  I notived a lot ore challenges with an auto in a three ton Exploer over a Mustang or Fusion on the earlier trans.

My 2011 GT350 has no drive train warranty on the Getrag 6 anual, but checking with others having the same GT350 624 HP and  over 40,000 miles (many of them hard), no problems have been reported. Now Ford will give a warranty on that trans and 5.)L up to about 700 HP.  I would have liked to get an extended warrnty on engine and drivetrain, but could not, even now e=when it is available for newer power toys with the same or more power.  Thanks Ford!

So far the MT82 on my GT has no issues but eventually I'm gonna have to upgrade the clutch assembly as the is some slight slippage if you hit it hard while in boost.  The Barton shifter assembly helped quite a bit getting the slop out and with the shortened throws it's so much more enjoyable rowing the gears.   But yeah, the clutch assembly ain't cheap like for the old T5.....$800.00 plus labor.  I'd do it but easier on a lift....

Time will tell but for the ones that I've seen dragging the 10R80 on the mainland, the weak links are the drive shafts and rear end bearings.  So far the transmissions appear to be handling the abuse.

Stay away from Waikiki tonight.  I think Kalakaua is closed from 1400 to midnight.

So the chronics can have some time to themselves?

Another Kalakaua Street party with food vendors and entertainment.  At least it is no longer every month.  Good food, bad parking.

As a tribute to this national non-holiday, all black Mustangs should be out cruising.

'Tis the Season of "Silent Night", but it is more like another silent month around here. Is everyone too busy shopping and/or stuck in traffic?
